The Finance department fulfils a gatekeeping role in the company by managing and monitoring the inflow and outflow of funds. The department helps the executive team to make informed decisions by providing accurate, reliable and timely financial reports. Finance also provides other departments with guidance on cost saving and enforce adherence to finance policies, procedures and processes and protecting TransNamib’s revenue and assets.
The Finance department is responsible for the overall financial administration, reporting, procurement and inventory management in the company. The department is headed by the Executive Finance, who directly reports to the CEO of TransNamib. This department consists of three sections, namely Management Accounting, Financial Accounting and Procurement.
The Finance department safeguard’s the sustainability of TransNamib. The department recognises the role it plays in safeguarding the sustainability of TransNamib by managing the finances of the company and facilitating sound strategic leadership. The department is therefore determined to improve its performance in all areas of financial control, management and reporting.
